About the Journal

The Chilean Journal of Primary Health Care and Family Health is a continuous scientific publication of the Department of Primary Health Care and Family Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile, which is aligned with the Vision and Mission of the University, in order to contribute to the technological and scientific development of the country, among other aspects.

Mission: we are a journal that publishes scientific articles continuously related to Primary Health Care (PHC), Family Health, Family Medicine and other related sciences (Health Technologies, Medical Education, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Anthropological Sciences, among others), by researchers working in Primary Health Care and/or academia, generating knowledge and methodologies for PHC teams, which contribute to the welfare and quality of life of individuals, families and communities.

Scope and Coverage: the Chilean Journal of Primary Care and Family Health is created in the Department of Primary Care and Family Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile, which is born to the life of science in 2022 with a first launching volume. The Journal is a space for scientific publication that promotes reflection and dissemination of knowledge related to the promotion and health care systems of the population, through scientific articles such as editorial articles, original articles, review articles, essays, case studies, letters to the editor.

The space for the publication of scientific results is open to national and foreign researchers, according to the profile and rules of the Journal.
